This was originally going to be a response of sorts to the ever-expanding series of "Buddha Bar" mix cds. (Jizo is the Japanese name for the Buddhist icon Ksitigarbha.) It ended up being a lot of things that didn't quite fit onto other mixes, maybe not quite energetic enough for a dance/house mix, or a little too spacey for a singer-songwriter mix, or danceable but slightly hypnotic.
