I made this mix for my dad as a companion to a Beach Boys CD that he picked up at Starbucks. Of course he was already familiar with all of the Beach Boy's hits. We had a few "Best Of" Beach Boys albums growing up. The thing he liked about the mix he bought was that it focused on a lot of non-hits, many of which he hadn't heard before. I told him I have all of their CDs up to the mid-70s, and that I would make him a CD of more non-hits that I thought he might enjoy. I'll create some artwork and maybe rethink the title at some point. I just felt like posting it now :) Here's the tracklist of the mix he bought that this is a companion to:

In looking at this, I feel a little guilty that there are so many tracks from "Today!" here, but it is SO good. Also, I've been on the fence as to whether to try and work in Heroes & Villains. I'm right at 80 minutes so if I put that in, something has to go.

Yep, always nice to see some recognition of their post-Smile work. And I hate to admit it, but that Starbucks sampler is actually pretty damn respectable for a commercial collection; always great to see a compilation varying from the standard Endless Summer-styled standards.
