Okay, I've gotten over the fact that Elton John didn't make the cut -- but what about Billy "Mr. Piano Man" Joel? Because we're all in the mood for a melody, and he's got us feelin' alright.

Ion, once again you are "closer to the truth" than you realize:
the last song cut form this mix was Billy's "We Didn't start the
Fire". "WHY?" (you might ask): simple logic--
Since Mozart appears on this CD, my thoughts naturally turned to Germany.
Then I remembered this BBC headline from last week about some rare books
being destroyed in a
German library fire...and when I shared the story with my daughter she asked
who started the fire? My reply ran along the lines of "I don't know, but it's
a certainty that we didn't start that fire" (we weren't in Germany @ the
time--& I've got a good alibi!) But alas I [again] ran out of disc space...

It just goes to show you that you never know...

I didn't start that fire either...I swear....I was in, um, Iceland at the time...yeah, Iceland, just cold chillin' to this mix....

I really hope you are joking about the Billy Joel song. That was a good story though, I liked it.

Happy to hear that the truth is out there, and that I'm one step closer. Hey doesn't Michael McDonald sing that song? And what instrument does he play?
