Just 50 of the bands I was introduced to by God's Own DJ - John Peel. Rest In Peace.

brilliant mix for a brilliant guy... totally unbelievable and tragic news... i'm sitting listening to radio one and for the first time in a long long long time they're playing some of these classics in the middle of the day... i'm actually listening to blue monday on radio one!!! it's just an unbelievable and awfully upsetting loss :(

Very sad and shocked. I came here wondering if there'd be a tribute mix already... this is a fine and fitting job.

I had always assumed John Peel was immortal... how upsetting to be proved wrong, and to think that there is nobody to play such a variety of music to the next generation of potential music lovers. Thank you John.

What with this fine tribute & Gerry's two mixes, it just goes to show what an amazing bloke he was. Looking at this mix takes me back to my teens, God knows how many hours I spent listening to the master!
