Comment:

Wow, it's been a while since I've done this mixing thing. That damn Dylan disc I've been working on has seriously slowed down my efficiency. Teaching hasn't helped either. John Darnielle is just what it takes to get a guy going, though, and my priorities are now restored.
We've got 29 songs here and there are still a bunch of other ones that I'd like to see on this one. I eliminated all but three of the covers because I think I'm going to make a MG Covers mix at some point in the future. It will be out of control.
Okay, I think that's enough out of me. I've got mixers to catch up on.
PS-If you have a recording of the concert during which John covers "Cut Your Hair", I would be very interested in a copy. I'm willing to send you anything you'd like in exchange. Except Rita Hayworth. I'm keeping her.

Great artist, though I'm only familiar with some of the stuff (via Rob Conroy). What I know here is top notch.

Some killer stuff - Dance Music off the last Peel session for one - the trouble with the tMGs is there is a ton of material and it's essentialy all great - five i love not on your fine mix: WE WERE PATRIOTS , SINLOAN MILK SONG , TWIN HUMAN HIGHWAY FLARES , GOING TO QUEENS , ORIGINAL AIR BLUE GOWN... but really where would you stop?

Fantastic. My absolute favorite person in music today is John Darnielle. I'm sure you've seen my version of this...
