Comment:
A playlist I've stuck on my MP3 player in the run up to my visit to Manhattan.
Most tracks have the obvious link in that the artist has their roots in or has been famous for playing in NYC, whereas Doves for example are playing at Bowery Ballroom when I'm there. Bizarre considering they live near me in Manchester, UK and are I have tickets to see them. Thank you Doves.
Flaming Lips and Orbital tracks remind me so much of my visit to New York four years ago, and Mr Bowie has one of his many residences in Manhattan. As for Nebula I picked up some of their early stuff on my previous visit.
Elvis Costello ? When I was young I thought he was from Manhattan. Mind you I thought people who got shot in the movies died in real life too.
Who says a mix can't be purely for yourself ?
