Okay, I'm not expecting to receive any comments for this one, since it's polarizing in about 180 different ways. Whoever likes Bright Eyes is not gonna like seeing ABBA. Fans of The Clash will scoff at Busted and The F-Ups. Disciples of The Blood Brothers will not like the band sharing mix space with Barenaked Ladies and Gwen Stefani. And *no one* is gonna applaud me for using Kelly Clarkson, Unwritten Law, Tom Jones, and the most overused AC/DC song of all time...but honestly, this is what I am listening to right now, and I love it all, and, for once, I refuse to be ashamed of anything on here. Now, normally I don't like Kelly Clarkson, and that Unwritten Law song is extremely generic (but I really like the chorus), and Gwen Stefani kind of irritates me now (but I love the "Fiddler on the Roof" homage), and after decades, I just now finally started to enjoy that AC/DC chestnut, and De Palma's cult classic "Phantom of the Paradise" had fantastic pop/musical stuff, hence Beach Bums and Juicy Fruits, and Busted may be a gay N'Sync-ish British boy band but they're fun-loving and creative, and the block of Sinatra/ABBA/Martin/Tom Jones came from the best of a Valentine's Day mix I made for my girlfriend (and it occurred to be that I'd never used any of those incredible songs on a mix before), and everything else doesn't require much explanation. I wanted the mix to start with an exciting rush, so recently discovered tracks by Bright Eyes and the glorious John Williams fit that bill for me. That's about it. As always, I'm happy with the results, even if that makes me a total loser :)

If this is what you are into right now, then this is a good mix... Sometimes we get ahead of ourselves with music snobbery and judge too quickly other people's tastes. Good for you for sticking to your guns. :)

Music sobbery is one thing, but Kelly Clarkson sucks. That's a fact. The rest looks pretty eclectic and fun.

I'm liking 1,4,6,9 and 10. Ecletic can be good.

i, for one, love it all. even kelly. music snobs can rot in hell. that's my motto.

damn the phrase "guilty pleasures" ... should just be "pleasures". you like what you like period, damn the snobbery. lots of great stuff, including the kelly clarkson song.

I'll applaud you for Kelly Clarkson and Unwritten Law. It takes guts to put those songs on this site because some people would be quick to judge. Love the mix, and proud to say I like those songs too.

Love this and love the whole idea of it too and what everyone else said.
