first off, this mix is for Laura K for a trade we've done. it indulges my mood, though I hesitate to give it a specific genre. (hence the 'theme' category) I have to thank Adam Bristor for the Silver Jews and Jayhawks tracks, and for introducing me to the Scud Mountain Boys--as well as Charles for the Caitlin Cary track. I realize it's a little inconsistent, but it works for me. it also doubles as a mother's day present for my mom. hope Laura likes it! and if anyone else wants a copy, let me know. title from 'Northstar Blues'. (this mix was partially an excuse to use Magnolia Electric Co., since I think I'm now in love with Jason Molina! ack.)
