Another combo mix of cool stuff, some reqested, some my choices. Frances Ashman was the singer in Gary Oldman's "Nil by Mouth", a great movie. Hard tracks to track down!

This mix has a lot of good artists in there. I especially like the artist Frances Ashman and her take in "Nil By Mouth". Very good voice and beat.

Ever since seeing the movie "Nil by mouth" I've been unable to get a song out of my head, it's the one where Val is dancing with Kath.

The hook of the song says something like " last chance to paradise..... open your eyes".

I would also love to know what's the song called and if is it available anywhere (even mp3 would do, I'm desperate), as I know the soundtrack was never made available. I have even tried contacting Sony pictures but they were of little help

During my searching I've been told it's by a band called "circle" and the haunting female vocal is by a "Frances Ashman, and the song may be called "peculiar groove, I'd been unable to find any more info and given up on the search when last year Gary Oldman walked into my work place (Riot, Santa Monica). A co-worker told Mr. Oldman about my quest and was told the good news... Gary had a copy, would burn one for me, and mail it to us at work.... Unfortunately it never came.

Any ideas?

hi, you might find this to be a lie, but Frances is a friend of mine, I also have some of her songs on mini disk, including tyhe ones she made for Nil by mouth (in that movie there is more than one song of hers).I will let her know that her song is much requested.

Pandora is listenable on the net, but the download doesn't seem to be working. Go to Google and search for "xfile productions" and then click "xtra audio" on the main page.

But Peculiar Groove would be nice to find.

I have this new (computer-illiterate) friend who tells me he has been looking for 'Pandora' since about '98. He went on about the song and the movie it was used in ( gonna go try to find the movie soon ). Anyway, I found it for him using a little info from this page and he demanded that i go back and let folks know how you can get it. So, here is how to get Pandora by Frances Ashman:

1) Go to this link: http://www.xfile-productions.com/xfl_htm_xtraaudio.htm

2) Scroll down to find 'Pandora' by Ashman

3) You will see three options to the right of the song: Play (in new window) and Download

4) IGNORE both the download and the play links and instead RIGHT click on the (in new window) link

5) A menu of options will come up. One of the options is 'Save link as...' Now LEFT click on that option.

6) A dialogue box will come up asking where you want to save the file. (Put it where you will remember how to find it). It will already be named 'Pandora.' Click save and it will download the file.

Enjoy!

Hope this helps some folks.

(Sorry, this only works for Windows users, although I know it is possible on Mac easily, i do not know the procedure as thoroughly)
