Comment:
Ok so this is my first mix in ages which came about when I discovered an abandoned directory on my computer full of songs from 80s action movies... now love 'em or hate 'em you can't deny that 80s american action movies are way more asskicking than anything else ever... so everything here is from one classic 80s movie or another (except convoy and gonna fly now but convoy was too good to miss out and gonna fly now was probably used more in the 80s than the 70s) also i know what you're thinking... huey lewis doesn't fit there... well it just got into the playlist accidently and i didn't have the heart to throw it out... that would be like throwing out an old friend from a party because they didn't bring a bottle... there's 3 survivor songs here because they define 80s action movie music... and there's 4 songs from rocky iv (yes it's got to be eye-vee) because that is the definitive 80s action movie for definitive action movie songs given that the entire film is basically one long montage of music videos... now if you can name what films every song on this comes from without looking them up you are officially sadder than me... i might do a second volume of this nonsense soon since i just noticed there is not one chuck norris or jean claude van damme film represented and i feel bad about that... so put your fists in the air to shake to the power ballads and remember that coming soon is the very thing that made 80s action movies so memorable : the numerous sequels!!!

The presence of Stan Bush and Vince DiCola usually points to one thing --- Transformers! Not here, though. Still, cool mix. I have that Stan Bush song on a workout mix. People like to hate on the '80s, but I doubt a collection of songs from '90s action movies could top this.
