Actually a sort of two-disc set (I made them a week apart, but it makes sense to combine them in one entry). I made both of these to take in with me to the radio station 2SER in Sydney for when I did the graveyard shift on Saturday night. They're kind of functional, in that the point of them was to help me cut down on the number of CDs I'd have to carry in with me, but at the same time I wanted to make them both work as proper mixes as well instead of just a bunch of tracks whacked onto disc without any thought for arrangement or anything like that. (I suspect I was more successful with the first one on that count.)

Some notes on particular versions of songs: "Wintergardens" is the alternate mix from the "Laugh?" compilation. "Ceremony" is the "green version", i.e. the original trio recording of the song released before New Order became a quartet and re-recorded the track (the re-recording is the one that's been reissued ever since; I don't think the original version has ever been rereleased). "Tomorrow" is the version from the "Wah Wah" album. And "Ludwig II von Bayern" is actually an edit of the last nine minutes of the track.

My inner music geek wants the version of Ceremony. :) Lots and lots of great picks here - love that Shop Assistants cut, as well as the BSP, LCD Soundsystem and, of course, Primal Scream.

Any mix that kicks off with the Shoppies is automatically great -- even if the rest is Barry Manilow covering Krokus. Also digging the whistlin' Liliput and the old school New Order.
