Comment:
One of my fav artist through all years, esp his 70's are splendid.
Feedback:
Yeah! Bowie put the roll in rock 'n' roll - great riffs, great melodies, and totally bizarre subject matter. What's not to love? Color me cliched, but "Rebel Rebel" is still probably my fave Bowie song. That riff just kicks ass.
"Pretty Things Going to Hell" would have fit in here nicely too. I agree with Mr. Lally...bowie's riffs r the best: catchy, glitchy & infectious. I hear the new Heathen CD has multiple ear catchers, supurb drumming and an old time, throw-back flavor...he even covers a Garth Brooks tune and totally whacks & bends it outta' shape ! Covers Cactus by the Pixies too...
very COOL, I'm painting hols in my hands !
Yup. Great. "Queen Bitch" is my absolute fave Bowie track.
*sigh* I (heart) Bowie and this mix. Hey, g.a.b., I'm terrified of that Garth cover.
Hey Leslie, don't worry, here's an excerpt from the review I read (see Discussion Forum for a link to the article):
Gemini Spacecraft: The third and final cover gets straight into Earthling-style drum 'n bassiness. The thought of Bowie covering a country music artist was disturbing, but there's no need to worry - this is about as far removed from Garth as you can get. Some lovely parping sax and some lovely funky Shaft guitar, make this one chug along at a cracking pace. Possible single material here.
...I guess we'll all form our own opinions...

Can't really argue with any of these. Looks like a good selection.
Very cool, Peter.
Hola!
Bowie the way I like him. nicely done.
goodgood
Hey P! - speaking of 1979 (another of your mixes), that is the year I first heard Bowie do Pity the Fool and Take My Tip. I was totally blown away. Early 1965 with the Mannish Boys. Can you dig those?
