Ironically this mix does not contain the actual song "Cars That Go Boom". It does, however, contain many other songs about the automobile, with a slant towards the less-obvious and/or rare live stuff.

Comment:
Because there's just too many great car songs out there to fill just one volume (or even two -- next volume I definitely gotta get some of that "Jesus Built My Hotrod" and "Little Red Corvette" action goin'). Not as many make and model-specific songs this time, but there's a wider variety of styles (and points of view -- see the Buzzcocks). I also slipped in Lalo Schifrin's bit from the "Bullitt" score that accompanied the Greatest Movie Car Chase Ever, just for kicks.Feedback:
You "cover a lot of ground" here....ggod job! (I can't remember the last time I heard many of these...."Testarossa","Fast Cars", and "Thunder Express".....love the Scream opener!)
WHAT NO CARS BY GARY NEWMAN
Car songs - always great - and "Fender Bender", v. nice choice.
great stuff!
"...I was going round and round, the hotel garage; must have been touching close to 94."
Great follow up! With #3 you'll have a fleet of Car mixes...!

" all my friends dig the lowrider. " and ms grace jones's wonderful entendre " pull up to the bumper, in your long black limosine." the closest disco ever got to the blues.

"HOT CARS" by the ANGRY SAMOANS! whatever, some neat stuffs heah.
Rocket 88. The "first" rock 'n roll song... seems perfectly fitting. Once again, excellent choices here.
