I've been toying with this - not too original - idea for months, made several versions with various track lists . . . and abandoned them all. So when the estimable Mistah Moe posted his wonderful "Birds and the Beatles" mix yesterday, I thought I might tackle Mistah Mohr's version of the ever-popular Beatles covers comp once again. Here's the result: most of these tracks have never seen the lite of this site; for popular appeal I threw in a few better-known ones. ;-)

Hmm, the number of tracks had my head spin a minute and then I realized not too many covers of "Glass Onion" are out there...I'm wondering about several of these versions. Peel away the layers. Get to the center of it all, the sweetest spot. I believe the saying: "You can tell how many seeds are in the apple, but not how many apples are in the seed." works rather well here. Here's another clue for you all....

I didn't know there were so many covers of Strawberry Fields Forever, at least ten if I count right. I've only heard Ben Harper's tho. Good mix. Are there actually covers you prefer to the originals?
More Beatles! More covers! I love much more on this mix (Petula Clark) than I hate (Jeff Beck) and I love that I don't know half of the rest. Perfect Herr Mohr. Toss 'er on the pile if you would.
