  • NEW TROLLS "UT" (Rock Progressivo Italiano, 1972) by Kazuhiro
  • and rapid evolution might be the points that should make a special mention. "Concerto Grosso" that they announced in 1971 is originally produced because of the music of the movie. Classic part with consistency carried out with Part1 and Part 2 and part where a certain kind of baroque was accompanied. The part of a bold orchestration might have multiplied the spur by their music characters at this time. The music character of "Concerto Grosso" gave indeed complete construction because there was details ... as the music for the movie shown by the above-mentioned description. Attention is attracted as a still .."Concerto Grosso".. masterpiece the item of Prog Rock of Italy. However, because the work of Luis Enriquez Bacalov was important as the concept for the album, "Concerto Grosso" might have had the impression that respect of competing by Bacalov is shown with the band. The element of the pastoral music character and the culture was one of the features of Euro Rock at this time for the dawn of Prog Rock ... of Italy. Each band used an original technique and it is likely to have gone in the part where a good music character of Italy of P.F.M and I Pooh in respect technical as represented was emphasized. Following of part classic as flow derived from intense part and "Concerto Grosso" to "Searching For A Land" announced in 1972 continuing. In this flow, the band might be evidence that the desire concerning the creation appears enough very much. And, to agree with this flow, they do not neglect the pursuit ...

I'd never really paid this work for solo organ much attention until I listened to this superior performance in which Alan Morrison puts all the right emphasis in all the right places. Far from simply translating Vivaldi's original concerto grosso, Bach lightened the texture in some places, thickened it in others, embellished the melodies and divided them ...

  • 's greatest composers, standing alongside Chopin and Penderecki. Lutosławski was the first to be awarded Poland's greatest honour, the Order of the White Eagle, after independence from the Soviet regime. He specializes in aleatoric (chance) music, where each performance would be different. The Concerto for Orchestra is inspired from Belá Bártok's own Concerto for Orchestra. He mimics the Baroque form Concerto Grosso, interweaving Polish tunes. The most striking part of this work is the atonal nature of it ...

  • , extended use of organ, with some Emerson-like Hammond organ, and some Hendrix-like trickson guitar. I love the live half, it's '70s excess in all its glory (screaming high pitched vocals, extended solos, and all the hallmarks of '70s hard rock and heavy metal). I own the original Cetra LP which comes with a flap that folds up on the top which houses both discs. I can see how this album gets a bit ignored being sandwiched between Concerto Grosso per 1 and UT,which are both considered superior musically ...

  • . In 1966, he hooked up with jazz flutist Herbie Mann, and performed and recorded him for four years, most notably on Manns Concerto Grosso In D Blues and Memphis Underground albums. By 1970, he was ready to move on, which he did with Manns blessing and assistance. He formed the Roy Ayers Ubiquity, with an ever-changing cast that included saxman Sonny Fortune (who appears on this disc) and percussionists Billy Cobham and Alphonse Mouzon (who don't). Red Black & Green came along in 1973, at about ...

  • in with him in gestures and call-and-response melodies...much the same as would happen in a rock-band scenario where guitarists, drummers, and bass players trade solos. This work," however, "is heavily influenced by the baroque concerto grosso form as the large scale form is comprised of many short movements. There are elements of Bach and Vivaldi, but there are also elements of other things: Satie Gymnopédies; Spanish barcaroles; improvisatory structures such as Zorn's Cobra; and many cadenzas ...

  • ) that is very compelling. Ignoring the novelistic conventions of the romantic concerto, which pits the soloist as individual against the orchestra as human society or the natural world, Hindemith maintains the even-textured motoric energy of the baroque concerto grosso. Elements of jazz and German popular music appear, reinforced by the small, ad hoc 'pit band' with prominent parts for brass instruments and accordion. Hindemith may have excluded topical and political concerns from his mature instrumental ...

In m. 144 the piano responds unexpectedly to the preceding massive tutti chord with a staccato D, followed after a gentler and shorter woodwind chord by an equally isolated Bb.
