I look at many mixes here and see a song on a playlist and go Wow thats cool.So many cool mixes here.There are times I make a mix and I think OK it will be awhile did the next one.I dont plan on making another one for a long time but then Ill here a song on the radio or get talking about music with someone and Inspiration to start another playlist hits me upside the head like a right hook from Rocky.Sometimes Ill get on the local library website to see if they have the song Im looking for if its not in my collection.
Other times Ill be driving to or from work and here a song on the radio I have but its not in my computer but Id love it on a mix.Im not much on themes but when I do a theme it usually takes longer to make the playlist then if I do a mixed genre CD.Some people are serious about the order of which are songs are in.Im usually not.My usually starts out fast and slows for awhile or starts out mellow and picks up speed.
Cover art is important too.I usually cut pictures out of an old magazine or junkmail.Google images are good too!
The library is a good source for music but sometimes the CDs are scratched and man I do mean scratched.One day I told our librarian a CD was scratch to hell and she was a little shocked but after seeing it im sure she agreed but didnt dare say hell.but it was!
