I didnt think Id really like Jazz and big band music till I really heard it.In the late 80s when I started making mixtapes I made one for my dad.While he was at work I borrowed a few albums of his and made him a mixtape.Duke Ellington,Ella Fitzgerald,Glen Miller ,etc opened my ears to jazz and big band music.My Dad was thrilled with the surprise mixtape.
Think of it as studying music history or musical Heritage.Hey who knows.you even may like your Parents tunes!
