Nearly 80 minutes of free-form, freak-folk Scottish acid whimsy from this duo-cum-collective, pulled from their classic second, third and fourth albums (the last of which is a double). Despite his slightly smaller representation here (he wrote less songs for the band, at least during this period), I actually think I prefer Mike Heron to Robin Williamson... is there anyone else out there who'd back me up on this?

hey rob! i LOVE the incredible string band! they are kind of my favourite hippy-folk band, i can't say whom i prefer, mike or robert. i love them alltogether. i liked them to the very end, i think "liquid acrbats as regards the air" is their latest and a superb album.
