Comment:

A number of uphevals chez plushpig recently have meant I've been pretty much a stranger to AOTM lately. Hopefully that's all behind me. Anyway, here's a little something to ease myself back into the swing of things. Same methodology as ToO example 1. The original cassette would have been compliled sometime in the late 90's judging by the inclusion of that SFA track.

For anyone who might be interested, I stole the title from The Residents. It's something to do with maintaining the integrity of a project by not presenting it to the public until it's creators have forgotten it's existence (hence the title of the Not Available album which was recorded under those strictures). Essentially, that's what happened here. I recorded the tracks back whenever, & then stashed them away in an unmarked cassette box at the back of a cupboard & it's only when we moved house they came (back) to light.

I'll leave it to you to decide who's the more pretentious: them or me...

Neither the Residents nor you are pretentious; this is wonderful! Although I'm not sure why forgetting about the existence of an artistic project helps maintain its integrity. I've been contemplating it for 5 minutes and still can't come up with an answer. Is it that its no longer burdened by the a posteriori explanations of the artist? Well, whatever. I love that Little Feat song. Welcome back.

This is tremendous and I agree with Orchid on all counts.
