I made this for a girl that I think I'm in love with. We flirted a lot for a long time, and then I found out she was seeing another guy. Guess I should mention that when all this happened I was 1000 miles away, but I'm moving back to where she is (though not because of her). I've told her once or twice how I feel about her, but I think it might just be words to her. I've spent a lot of time searching for music that I think she'd like that says what I want to say. I know that there are two songs by Mae and two by DC, but.... those are two of her favorite bands. It's kind of my last shot at showing her how I really feel about her. The great thing about it is.... in my research for this mix, I came across some bands that I really like, so if she tells me she never wants to talk to me again... at least it wasn't a complete loss. Hey man, best of luck with this. I have a similar situation that I hope a mix works for.
An update for anyone that checks this mix out. I moved, and things were great for a while. Things ended up not working out with us though. I'm pretty certain that she got back together with the guy that she was with before. No hard feelings really though. Can't control your emotions. I don't regret meeting her, or making the CD or moving here. I've made some amazing friends, and I still love the bands that I found through her. I've even seen a few of them live since moving down here. I'm still pretty proud of the mix though, so feel free to borrow from as you like.
