Comment:
This mix was made for a dude in Belgium as a trade for a Posies show. The guy tweaked me a bit when he urged me to include a variety of styles as he "likes all sorts of music". Being that I pride myself on my array of styles in EVERY mix that I make, I decided to outdo myself on this one. Let me know if I succeeded, oh Art of the Mix members... Although it's fairly obvious, the title is from the Billie Holiday tune.Feedback:
This mix is all over the place but I wish that it was all over the place in tracking as well. Throw some jazz after the LA Punk after Ladybug Transistor and whatnot. Still...it's better than anything I could come up with.
hmmm... not as all over the place as I would expect, actually. still, nice juxtapositions. and any mix w/ "flamenco sketches" must be amazing.
Clicked on this one thinking - god, where does that title come from? And... I love it! In response to the other comments, the tracklisting looks perfectly logical (to me).
