I know what you're thinking....
Comment:
... That at least half of these songs suck or are dubious choices. This is truly an odds n ends mix, with songs I just like but can't seem to find better places for. All taken together, it works surprisingly well. In the words of Rob Conroy, it's a "for the hell of it" mix.Feedback:
Looks good to me, Shaun. At least 'til your closer. Just had that Fab Poodles tune in my head this weekend & a recent desire for a copy of Bruce Woolley's LP.
Yikes...and yeah!...and yikes....and suhweet. Kinda dig mixes which mix "tastefulness", somehow chessy or dubious songs sound better in improved context.
Nifty!

Incredibly excellent. Not a bad track here as far as I'm concerned.
Crazy On You?? Uh-huh, I'm dusting off my air guitar!!!
Lots of great sing-a-longs here; nothing dubious about the Cars or Heart selections - I have serious reservations about The Who though.
Oooh, guilty guilty guilty GUILTY!
But as the cat says, if you want to sing out, sing out . . .

Especially like the ELO & Poodles picks.
Nice. Like the Death By Chocolate song (recently heard the original version) and the Cat Stevens song - yet another song DBC covered.
I have to admit that I'd be hard pressed to find the half that suck. Some are even great (i.e. "Do Ya," of which Matthew Sweet does an outstanding cover). Guilty pleasures rock! Maybe this is the motivation I need to buy the new remaster of Queen's Night At The Opera.
I'm thinking I like it. If it weren't for mixes like these I'd have abandoned AOTM long ago.
I like almost all of these a helluva lot, so thanks for the nod.
Gee, which ones ar dubious. I love almost all of these, but then again, I've always been a dubious type of gal.
One for sorrow, two for joy...originally by The Murgatroyd Band who were part Spencer Davis Group & of course the title to children's topical show featuring Susan Stranks...great stuff!
It's true, you do know. I was thinking it's about time Sean Lally came up with another of his cracking mixes. All this and you're psychic as well. Must think about nothing - damn I succeeded.
Niiiice. Glad to see the Hoodoo's get some attention outside Aus.
I, too, fail to see the half what sucks...(the fact you never prop yourself up as some ultimate arbiter of good taste-, in fact quite the opposite, heh, goes a long way in even giving this a look-see. ) I'm with Nomates.
Nicely done, love the Knack, Kinks, Cat Stevens and Heart picks especially.
didn't I comment on this one? great easypop here
Some marvellous stuff on here. Not least 6, 11, 13 & 18. Nice one.
hoodoo gurus - this is something! I just found that album on cd after all these years today. I still think it's great. I haven't been on this site lately, but you've dropped some good grooves the last few entries - hope you and the fam are doing well
Very nice mix. Bonus points for "Saturday Night", the Cars, and of course "if you want to sing out, sing out"
