Comment:

Put out your tongue, stick your hands in the air, make a peace sign like you just don't care! Resurrection shuffle's where it all began for me, the first single I ever bought (well my dad bought it for me at my request) The Steve Harley track is one of My wife's fave tracks & I somehow can't listen to that Nick Lowe track without pairing it with Girls Talk! Brendan Benson just seemed to fit nicely with the previous 2 tracks. 6-10 is just me being me & the stuff thereafter is some of my recent purchases. Track 19 is my own funny little frog's current most played tune & the closer is for her too, so what, it was used in the Muller commercial it's still a top tune. Oh & yeh the title of the mix is a play on the Brendan Benson song title cos I don't feel like myself at the mo, fact is I feel like shit, caught a bug that's circulating round the French countryside & my chakra could certainly do with realigning. Why I wrote these liner notes is beyond me, I usually reserve such waffle for mixes that deserve to be accompanied by a decent explanation. Bon Weekend toute le monde.

Nice one, Cliff--bringing back memories. I loved that whole Lowe/Edmunds Rockpile synergy; + writing & trading & produing tunes with E. Costello- those were the days (for me) hanging out & dancing
...& tryin' t'get that girl's attention...

Very nice. I'm with g.a.b. on the Lowe/Edmunds/Costello (Difford/Tilbrook) axis. Feel better Cliff.

Agreed about the Lowe/Edmunds/Benson connection - that's pop rock gold. It's almost scary to see all these excellent yet not necessarily similar artists together on a mix. Tracks 13-19 especially are just such an odd yet satisfying group; well done

You do very good when you are very bad! I too think any mix with "3 to 4" is on it's way to perfection. Nice Mix.

I like it! Definitely echo Salman on that closing stretch, and the Elbow -> Sparks is cool. Excellent all round.

A lotta' great stuff, though I'm not sure it'll help tune your chakras; might make 'em bend with all the fruggin' you'd be doin'...(that's f-R-u-g-g-i-n'....with an "r")

Nick & Dave yeah! & as for "Baby Please Don't Go" - don't it make you imagine the Beatles w/ Lennon-Zappa instead of Lennon-McCartney?
Love the funny little frog closing numbers.

Love the Rogue Wave and Animal Collective tracks, love 'em together. Nice Benson and B&S selections, too. Can't go wrong with a Simone closer.
