Tales of the Proverbial 2nd Chance v 56
Comment:
Reprise of my bachelor pad mix. Oddly, it started out as a pure jazz request and I immediately veered its course into space age pop with tinges of the Beat. I want to say that it is aging a bit, but now that I am listening to it again, it actually captures the radio sound of the time especially with each Ken Nordine color. Yet, we know radio never sounded like this. And basements never looked like that.
Feedback:
Very cool. Suave even. And nice cover shot, though I gotta say, no matter how good she looks, if she leaves my LPs out of the covers like that, she's outta here! I got my priorities.
Nelson Riddle,Nat Cole and Perez Prado... *sigh* whaddanawesomemixthisis! And I agree with Curtis_Burns, if anyone leaves my LPs out - OR - uses the album jackets as beverage coasters?!!!? OMFG, they are sooo history baby!!!
to your last 2 statements... mores the pity... OK, tell the truth (like from High Fidelity) did you ever stop dating someone 'cause their record collection sucked?
Christ, i've got 5 mixes of yours to listen to now! I'll get through them all, don't you worry. This looks especially groovy.
Most excellent in every sense - if she looks like that she can use my LPs as frisbees!
I believe AOTM is about undergo a "change of management". www.jonpoi.org appears to have such a vast arsenal of mixes like this --Freakin' Fantastic! -- that none shall stand in his/her/their way. I fear for us all, whilst, at the same time welcome belting collections like this. As to the "Artwork", well, I'm only human...
p.s. How did you get Ms. Fonda to agree to it?
One terrific spin, this. As to the girl, well I've got plenty of fluid...
Discwasher fluid, so screw the LP's (too)!

Let us party.
