gee, well said....
I understand the use of Ben Lee since it fits with the contemporary slant of artists, but his version of that song is literally a pale ghost of the original. Lee is very good in his own way, but covering The Beatles, he falters, imo. Wise choice for a Valentine's mix, but regrettable version. The rest is pretty tight, though. Can't go wrong with new Robert Pollard, nor w/Iron & Wine, Ed Harcourt, Elbow, and the incredible James. Sweet stuff, if rather downbeat
