With a nod to the past and an eye on the future, Michael Bublé has become his own kind of crooner. The Vancouver native was raised on the sounds of big band, but while he's only too happy to apply his young man's old-soul pipes to popular standards — a classy and smoky "Cry Me a River", a fantabulous cover of Van Morrison's silver-light seduction "Moondance" — he isn't content to let it ride on the retro. His co-penned single "Home" gives a modern spin to the art of the bittersweet ballad, and both the 2009 single “Haven’t Met You Yet” and 2010‘s supremely catchy “Hollywood” find him striding confidently into the global pop charts.
