Tales of the Proverbial 2nd Chance v 58
Comment:
Reprise of the third volume of the bachelor pad, this is perhaps the sexiest of the three. At least until It's A Gas. And if your stuff is not working by then, you might as well give up because it doesn't really slow down after that point. Special notice should be given to the bagpipe jazz of Rufus Harley. And here is storytime: When this was originally posted on AOTM, the producer of the Chaino wrote to me after noticing the mix being listed on the net. He said that he had his entire catalog of Chaino material bought for three million by Steven Spielberg for use in the 60s period films that Spielberg was producing at the time. He said he was going to take the money and use it to rerelease the Chaino material. He wanted to know if he could buy this from me. I thought it very strange that he was actually offering to buy his own property from me and said I couldn't comprehend it. It was his and he was more than welcome to it. He told me I was all heart, gave me his address and thanked me, telling me he would like to use the cover in the liner notes. Then my computer crashed with the info and that was the end of that connection. Kirby Allen, if you are out there, sorry 'bout that. You have no idea.

Excellent.
Cannonball Adderley nearly made it onto my Drake mix (Mercy Mercy is on the other volume of the mix)Lots of other tasty treats here.
Great mix! Great story!!! Love this one...playing...ahhhhhh...now.
Sorry, I can't resist. I have to say this: you're mixes are so freakin' amazing...so depthly put together...so incredibly and masterfully produced I am, quite frankly, awe-struck.
I'm with the 'gnome! Stupendous as always Jon.
Jon. Your stories and your mixes are second to none. Therefore, this mix is second to none. I believe the pot is yours. Now take your winnings and bring on the next one....
I'm thinking of trading in my mac for a pc so I can download these. Fantastico!
Love the Three Suns.
This cover rocks.

This is simply and utterly wonderful. Ilogically, it's become my personal favourite Jonpoi mix. I would love to hear it in it's full stereophonic, uncompressed glory. Any chance, Jon, he grovelled. I can't get over how massively entertaining this is. Five stars doesn't approach its true worth.
Mac users can download Windows Media Player here.
Another master piece!!! Isn't the Alfred E Neumann track a carload of belches set to a disco beat?? I believe I have this on a flexi-disc that came in a MAD mag.
