I was born in 1980. During my middle school/high school years I became obcessed with alternative rock. Believe it or not the person who got me listening to it was my bus driver. I was the first stop and I got to listen to the radio all the way to school. At the time I was listening to the big pop station in my city, but the DAY I got a chance to listen to this new alternative rock station...music changed forever for me. I never knew this kind of stuff was out there. The pop station I once listened to left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I honestly never listned to it again.

Now some of these songs never really originated "in the middle of the 90's," but to me they did and they always will. This is the soundtrack I grew up with.
