Ally's a very close friend of mine. We used to go out a lot when I was in high school (she'd graduated when I first met her - I was 16, in the summer before junior year started). We never dated, but we were really close. I made this mix a few months after I got to UWM as a way of remembering her and the stuff we used to do - cruising around, going to dances, listening to records...that Johnny Thunders song at the end kinda pisses it all away, when I realized that those times will never return. "You Lied" isn't meant to have any bearing on Ally - the night I met her, I was with a couple friends, my buddy Ryan was playing that song, it's more of a memory anchor than a comment on her.
