Tales of the Proverbial 2nd Chance v 54
Comment:
Reprise of the cars, dominance and bad news mix. In other words, coincendental misfortune at every turn. No worry, no hurry.
Feedback:
Interesting. It appears to me as if the dog's skeleton is going to heaven. To be used as angel's toothpicks I would imagine. Wait, do angels need toothpicks? Uhm, excellent mix by the way.
wow, anything with "Donner Party" on it is not very happy. well done!
Jonpoi has mixes for us, oh yes, mixes to suit all moods. Mixes to create all moods. Sledgehammers and hot towels. His artwork is always a gorgeous question mark. I interpret this cover as representing the victory of humanity over superstition -- the uniformed "policeman" is our great hope. From Carlene Carter to Rasputina , the message is clear -- Never stop listening, if there is such a thing as "truth", if there really is an "answer" -- don't pretend you know it. When you fool yourself, you harms us all. Stop it.To Jonpoi I say the opposite. Continue your great enterprise, Jon, save us from ourselves. If it's all about the music and Jonpoi's entertaining and unique presentation, well, that's good enough for me. Turn it up and open your mind.
Wow, Nomates, that was one of the best comments I have ever had the pleasure to receive.
With regards to the painting, please give credit and comments to the artist, Mark Ryden. He is responsible for images of Bjork and Christina Ricci and the Red Hot Chili Peppers' One Hot Minute as well as a lot of others. This happens to be one of my favorite paintings of all time.
Anyway, what you said was neat. And inspiring. And I look forward to making a mix that reflects it directly.

What Nomates said...exactly.
Oh, and one more thing...kewl mix, dude! Totally righteous!!
My interpretation is: heaven is shooting a deathray at a skeleton dog doing a backflip into a dog suit...and for his efforts the little demon guy is scoring him a 9.4 with extra points for difficulty.

I'm not to clever & have never really been very good at interprecicitating things. However if I may I'd like to quote my favourite poet, 'Eddie Levert'. I love music, any kind of music
I love music, just as long as it's groovin'.

After Nomates eloquent and inspirational comments, Im thinking 'Nice mix Jon' seems empty and vaccuous but a nice mix it is. If I may throw my two pennies worth on to the table I'll follow Sams lead and offer you this quote "Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent" - Victor Hugo. Keep on keeping on Jon.
I like the theme of this one a lot.
