Tales of the Proverbial 2nd Chance v 74
Comment:
Reprise of the mix for which I lied about the theme probably. I forget what was going on in my head at the time 'cause a lot was going on. I had fallen in love with the Yoshimi album. I had fallen in love with a gal I met on the internet. Petty Booka had invited me up to Tokyo to meet me after hearing the v 71 mix. It was Christmas. I would also be going up to Tokyo to meet the gal I met on the net and it would be the first time we would ever see each other. There was another girlfriend that wanted to go with me to Tokyo. There was another girlfriend that wanted to see me in Tokyo. There was another old girlfriend I wanted to see in Tokyo. I needed a mix for an 1100 kilometer non-stop drive. I was broke but seeing light at the end of the tunnel. I wanted to buy some hashish and look forward to the trip back home to Kyushu to make sure my cats were okay. The number one girl turned out to be rich and beautiful. The bar we went to was playing Yoshimi. The other girl was a bitch. The old girlfriend said I had gotten larger in the stomach and loved the mix the most saying that her mom and she loved to sing the Peanuts tune with the karaoke in the bar they owned. The trip back was mind blowing. The cats were glad I was back. Yet, I met my wife five months later and she wasn't in my thoughts at all at the time. So, this is a strange mix to play around her and I hope she doesn't read about this. She knows about this, but feels inferior to the mix. Life is weird like that. Oh, yeah....the producer of Petty Booka gave me lots more material and full permission to use all of their artists for my mixes on the net. That was neat.
Feedback:
This is so atmospheric it's a chemical process. The accompanying "anecdote" is the catalyst. It sparkles and fizzes towards the unknown inevitable. Your wife demonstrates her affinity to us all. Yet she is the "chosen" one. She should steal this mix and make it her own.
How many of these are there? Anyway, I love this one... Nice pics and good job on the cover.
you have wayyyyy to many girlfriends! A surfeit of riches! But I like the music anyway!
Wonderful. Love the Bacharach -> Lips -> Bacharach tongue lashing.
Nice. I like the exact sequence that Curtis just namechecked.
