Comment:

Reprise of the smoking hashish for the first time in a couple of years mix. Following a trip to Tokyo for fun fun fun some business and much pleasure, I wanted to hear some fave tunes, apply some new tunes, work with some new ideas and check out the new level jump I was feeling as the tangents came up. The gal on the cover I had just gone on a date with the previous week and I was contemplating my future. It was hard. I couldn't get over the feeling of not being worthy of the relationship. She was, and still is, a jet setter in the truest sense of the word. Never feeling I could stand up in the environment, I met someone who would become my wife. When I told the cover girl about it finally, she cried. I think I blew that one, haha. But, it is one of those things 'cause had I never gone throught those motions, I probably never would have met my wife and I know I am much happier. So, I play this one, look at the other gal, think about the nightlife, and thank the blowfish for my wife.

"and I know I am much happier". A statement of vindication and a mix that closes the loop. Tracks 17-21 are the empty wrapper tossed over the shoulder. Damn, this is entertaining and made doubly so by personal insight. Thank you.

sigh, one door closes when another opens. And thanks for Joe Strummer.

I was about to say 'Jon, why don't you write a book?' but I think your mixes are a document {in a much more accessible way} of your life and times. Thanks again for sharing your vision.
