Reprise of the request mix. I don't like request mixes. Rarely do the requestors have an idea of where the flow is going, and are thinking more about sentimental choices than anything else. It usually means they are only going to listen for what they are interested in and then tune out. Requests are really hard to work with. But I had sent out word, and was given the tunes to work with. And what a mess it was. I could run it out okay enough, but what was I gonna do to make it gel? So, I thought about using an audio book from whatever I could find available on the net. I looked at the cover and BOOM there it was. Valley of the Dolls. And that is what this is. And what a wasted effort. The morning I finished it, the World Trade Towers were attacked and no one listened to anything but CNN for the the next 20 days. It was a real, real long time before I did requests again.
