Got twang?
Chord changes (processed & otherwise) & string-work...from some of the craftiest,
cross-faded guitarists in my collection. This has a washed acoustic/ambient feel with
a round of delicate Spanish strumming smack in the middle...and that little Gilmour ditty
finishing things off. The first mix outta' the "new" location: I gave my upstairs
office to my son for his new bedroom and re-outfitted the l@b off the family-room;
closer, actually, to the aluminum/plastic vault (the majority of my CD/Record collection). The perfect, languidly acoustical companion for my very first submitted mix (back in '42).
Happy strumming.

Just reading the titles gets me interested. I wonder if "Raise My Rent" was suggested by son's fancy new upstairs digs?

Looks like an excellent output from the mad scientist in the l@b.

From here on the safe shores of accessibility, this looks most desirable. I am a sucker for the well strummed stringed instrument. This mix lists music by some fine proponents of the tautly strung fraternity. I believe I like it, by crikey! The cover art is awe-inspiring, full of relevance, and continues the super streamlined style that is becoming your trademark. So, that's me convinced. Now, where do I sign?

Respect as always Sir - may your new location prove as productive & challenging as your last. Are we to hear from your son, soon? Does he share your taste?

Hey thanks for the comments everyone.
My son (who's just 10--so no rent due yet, Ed) was thrilled when
he found out he was inheriting the "l@b" (then a bit deflated
when he realized it would be sans the 'lectronics - but I
let him have a dial-up connection as a bonus.
I played this mix in his new room, while it was still empty, and
just lay on the floor as it reverbed off the walls & wood floor
(ahh...the echoic sound of fingers sliding across strings, seeking out the
next chord)...can't beat that.
...and Dom...maybe, someday - though he will listen to Dad's ambient,
his preferences run more towards Playstaion game soundtracks, like Tony Hawk's
American Wasteland (which isn't bad, actually), and Batman stuff.

This looks great g.a.b. The new digs are obviously agreeeing with you as, I'm sure, they're agreeing with your son. Excellent.

Thanks very much for the guitar mix. It was a great way to spend that icey traffic
snarlup last week. I listened to this all the way home. A cool blend of genres
and nice blending between tracks too (and that's coming from a dyed in the wool 3-chord fan).

This is looking absolutely splendid - I really can't wait to hear it. I love where you've fitted in the Bowie, and Gilmour's always a great way to finish. If this is anything to go by, the new location's going to be very productive!

If I had neighbours who played these tunes you could raise my rent too!
