Tales of the Proverbial 2nd Chance v 25
Comment:
Reprise of the spring mix. Nothing really special here. Seems there are some posters really needing a fix of fresh air and sun sooner than time allows. This is basically a mix centered on flow. Recorded about the same time as now, four or so years ago, I had moved to another island, was anxious to get on the train and see how far it would take me while I soaked up the scenery. Also, I had just moved in with a girlfriend that had a penchant for calling the police to have me thrown out everytime she was unhappy. The first time, the police threw me out. The second time, the police gave me a place to stay. The third time, the police gave my cat a place to stay. The fourth time they started to ignore her. And they did this until the seventh time when they threw her out of her own apartment until I could get a place of my own. Everything was a go on renewal and my trousers weren't as baggy as they used to be. This was to remember, forget and look forward to. It was early April and it was snowing. And I couldn't wait for a change. ... Listening to it, again, it's kind of angry.Feedback:
after reading the comments and looking back through, "big boys" is ironically hilarious.
Ah Jon, would that it were truly spring here in the sceptred isle. It's been snowing for the last few days and my windscreen wipers are as confused as George Dubya. Hopefully this mix will clear the air in a literal sense, and the seasons will realign like smiley faces all in a row.Another crafty selection of songs, circumspectly assembled by the master. I won't bother striving for more superlatives, Jon. My views on your mixes are well documented. This is no exception. Of course, your entertaining anecdotal comments are always a delight. I wish you a proper spring of rebirth and affirmation.
nice.
