Other Mixes By Smith Fagan
It's your birthday: spit on a stranger
Comment:
I share the same birthday (tomorrow, a whole 20 years...) with the person for whom this mix is intended. Not sure how it will be received, it's a bit messed up and disjointed but my first effort at a proper mix for someone who's probably never heard of the likes of Kelly Clarkson, (not that we all don't want a piece of Kelly!)Feedback:
A fine start, and always a good sign when one starts associating with people who have never heard of the likes of Kelly Clarkson. "St. Elmo's Fire" is one of the greatest tracks ever, and I think it's wholly appropriate to judge someone's character based on their reaction to it.
Most mixes are disjointed one way or another; it's all about how it sounds to you. If you like it, have faith that others will. I like pretty much every track on here, and I myself have used Brian Eno, Cocteau Twins, and Elliot Smith in succession before, so I think that's actually rather sharp on your part. And I'm jealous you used that Billy Bragg/Wilco song; I was going to put it on my next mix, but I don't want to seem like I'm aping your fine effort.
Yeh, it's sounding pretty sweet at the minute. I'll allow it just this once, for the sheer fact that it is such a painfully handsome song. Onto the Manchester mix...
Just a great mix. A real gem of an AOTM debut. Look forward to further postings, including your Manchester mix...
Smashing debut mix. This bodes very well for the future. Yes indeedy do.A "Manchester" mix you say -- tread carefully...What the hell am I talking about. No-one could go wrong with a Manchester mix. Ooh, the excitement...
