Comment:
My annual Lent/Easter gospel mix. As usual a variety of styles & from the 1930's to 2005. Included another version of Sampson & Delilah (one of the best live Dead versions I've heard - from the Uptown Theater in Chicago 1978, a show I attended)- next year another version by Dave Alvin. Did not include Wade in the Water, which I think I've had in the previous 4 years. The James Brown is from the Blues Brothers movie and includes the dialog of Jake & Elwood.
Feedback:
Who says the devil has the best tunes? I think this looks great
Amen. Very nice.
Man I like this! I have no Easter mixes, but have Mucho Mundo Christmas CDs (hint hint)
Spiritually uplifting. I remember a previous installment piqued my interest enough for to join this site.
Noteworthy for the uplifting mix and the cover. Resurrect this as a listen when you can.
That is good news, brother.
