This condition seems most prevalent in conjunction with "indie-rock" mixes; however, it does sometimes leak into other genres. I have no idea what causes this irrational fear of the shift key. I will seek further enlightenment from other, wiser minds than mine and perhaps write a thesis. To my knowledge, capital letters are no more harmful nor less valid than their lower case equivalents; and yet more and more people are turning away from them. It can't just be down to mobile phones can it? Oh dearie me, what will become of our language? You may say it's just not that important -- but you would be wrong on many levels.
