Bring Me the Boots of Billy Connolly!
Comment:
For a friend who wondered aloud, "What bands are Scottish?" Suckle is a Frances McKee project. Any single second of their brilliant 2000 album "Against Nurture" dwarfs all of Eugene Kelly's post-Vaselines output. Title inspired by my only Scottish celebrity sighting (on a flight from London to Glasgow - and, no, he wasn't wearing the banana boots. Maybe they were in the overhead compartment?)
Feedback:
Second Scottish mix posted this week ( after Siobhan's recent ) and they've both been belters. "Under Canvas" remains one of the most Kick Ass tunes of the past ten years. Too many other highlights to pick out but, Felicity and Don't Fight It.... Yes!
I was listening to that Donovan earlier today. Always good to see the SAHB recognized here! Loaded (see:Primal Scream) with great Scots'! Good go Lancelot...
In answer to your friend's question -- it's the ones that come from Scotland. Could have saved yourself a lot of time and trouble there. Mind you, I do believe the mix is more than justification for your long-winded reply.
I love to learn, and while Nomates is technically right, you are both more righter and more gooder in your presentation! Great mix!
This kicks arse.
This looks hot (I am part Scottish). Dude, isn't Lancelot Link an old comic about an ape or something? If I'm right, I applaud your name.
So great.
