Comment:
A collection of mostly mellow singer songwriter stuff from the 70s. This and a lot more mixes will be going to my brother who just bought a neighborhood shot & beer bar in Philly. It's a tiny bar that he's renovating into a good food serving tavern and he needs music. So I'm going to start a tavern series. Dinner music. Pub music. This is going to take some thought...
Feedback:
Would it be too obvious to suggest "One Whiskey, One Bourbon, One Beer" by George Thorogood?
Looks like good pub music. "Cheers" on the new Metadata family enterprise.

Lovely. That Dion song is definitely a favorite, it's nice to see it here.
I would love to spend time at a local that played any combination of the above tunes. Good luck!!!
you can't go wrong with steely dan (70s), al green, and jimmy cliff.
Lend me 10 pounds & I'll buy you a beer George! Looks like my kinda bar. You've got me thinking now, will send suggestions asap after I've given it some thought.
This is some good stuff, George - I think that music's a major factor for people when they go to the pub. I think '70s stuff is absolutely the right way to go; some '60s can be good too. I used to work in a bar/restaurant where we played a lot of soul, which seemed to go down well with people having dinner there. (It was in a hotel, so not quite the same, but the dining ambiance was definitely there!) Love the Simon and Garfunkel and Tom Waits. Looking forward to see more of this stuff!
Cool. Save me a spot at the bar.
Love the mix, our best to your brother.
Top Class Mix. Full of quality and excellent for your Brothers bar.
Loads of classics here. Nice.
This is tremendous. I think the mellow singer/songwriter stuff, old Motown/Atlantic R&B and 50's Rock n Roll would all work great for dining / waiting for your food at the bar music.
Missed this yesterday...site was flaky. Very cool undertaking, good luck to your brother. My brother & sister bought a liquor store in Newport, R.I. a few years back & are turning quite a nice profit.
Anywhere with a playlist like this would get my custom
Wonderful.
one of my favorite John Lennon songs - and look at that old Hall & Oates! real good stuff.
Ocean Liners are very large. Oil Tankers are even larger. However, the ocean is much much larger than anything on it. This mix is oceanic in it's aspiration. Sail on, George.
Looks like I could really get into this with a pint of good beer.
As I often do when I look at your mixes, I like-to-love more than 90% of this.
Good one. I am going to be submitting a singers songwriters mix soon. Nice job yet again.
dig it, what I really need right now, got me really inspired
An excellent trip in the Way Back Machine. Especially love the Bromberg track. He's given far too little exposure here at AOTM.
