Tales of the Proverbial 2nd Chance v 24
Comment:
Reprise of the I Am A Passionate Socialist, But Hell Money Helps mix. Basically this contains a lot of guilty pleasures. 1988 had my head in want of a change with eyes on a souvenir of China. It was indeed a result of a lack of love, and I had no idea the fall of the Berlin Wall was gonna happen sooner than expected. Nor did I know that cool, cool water was the only thing separating me from Tokyo. I was in pursuit of the American dream. And I will never cease to tip my hat to the Talking Heads for writing a very lovely song about my hometown of North Dallas and immortalizing it in True Stories. Should we awake, and find it gone, remember this: our favorite town.Feedback:
This is a looker.
4 through 7 break my heart they are so good. If you are 20 and not a communist, you are a coward. If you are 40 and still a communist you are a fool.
The workers control the means of production -- my arse! And don't get me started on the Berlin Wall -- constructed by dangerous, tunnel-visioned idiots, who pretty much, got what they deserved. Great mix though. Will have to put it in my daily revolution schedule.
Wonderful. Really dig that Costello through Zeppelin run.
Guilty pleasures? Cliff, Strummer, Lowe, Costello, Verlaine (I think that's actually a Television song), Modern Lovers, Zeppelin... those are ALL great songs.
Love that Zeppelin pick. Awsome!
