I want to say this is just plain dumb, basing a mix on hand claps. But on reflection, I do think clapping can perk up a song, at the very least. So I give in and will give you a hand (SFX: polite applause).

Thanks for the polite applause -- it all started because a friend of mine realized he always likes songs if they have clapping. So as I listen to my collection I throw them into a playlist and have 2 volumes now. They tend to be all upbeat songs so it works.
