If you know me you know that The Microphones is by far my most favorite band ever in the whole wide world and thensome. So I decided to honor them by having them highlight Volume I of the UGH Series, or Unofficial Greatest Hits. Any Microphones record you can find is almost guarenteed to be a great listen in itself, but here's some of my favorites. Since 2004, the name of the band has changed to Mount Eerie, and there's some good stuff since that time, but it was hard enough picking through all this music without bringing all that stuff into the picture. The four songs with numbers in parenthesis next to them are from the album "Little Bird Flies into a Big, Black Cloud", which doesn't have song titles, so I gave the track numbers in case you want to put this one together some day. Also, "You'll be in the Air" is track 13 on "The Glow (Part 2)" (the album, not the song), but it has no name on the back of the CD. That's about it, have a nice evening! (PS: If you really are interested in hearing all of these, you'll be hard pressed to find "Heart-Shape Face". If you drop me a line, I can try to point you in the right direction.)
