Comment:
i've noticed there's a bunch of pavement compilations uploaded here, yet not really any simple best-of. i made this disc initially for the car so i could have an eclectic mix of pavement songs all on cd. this also would work well for someone as an introduction to pavement, easily one of the greatest bands of the 90's, if not the greatest.
Feedback:
A fine intro indeed. Pretty similar to one I did awhile back, though I pulled out a few of the lesser album tracks (i.e. I could deal without "Blue Hawaii" and "We Dance") to make room for more ep tracks (particularly "Frontwards," "Give It A Day") and b-sides. I'd like to update my mix (to take advantage of the Slanted and Crooked Rain expanded editions, but I'm waiting (hoping) to see if they'll give similar treatment to their later albums.
Yeah this is great, i'm with Pop Kulcher though as in I would have taken a few tracks from Watery Domestic, Frontwards for sure and probably Texas Never Whispers. Ive often wished they could have worked that into a full length as pound for pound its as good as they ever sounded. Great band, great mix.
