Comment:

The idea for this imaginary "Beatle"-Album came from a german novel called "The 13th Beatle" by Gerhard Henschel. I don't think there is an English edition. But anyways; the hero in that story is a Beatles-Fan and he is given the chance to travel through time. He decides to travel back to 60ies London and to prevent John and Yoko from meeting each other. If John and Yoko never would have met, the Beatles would never have split. Right? Sure enough, the whole plan fails and while depressed the main character compiles an imaginary Beatles-Album. This is his playlist: Mother, Cold Turkey, Every Night, Mind Games, Jealous Guy, Working Class Hero, My Sweet Lord, You Always Hurt The One You Love (sung by Ringo), Give Me Some Truth, Imagine, I'm Carrying, My Mummy's Dead.

I did like the fdea immediately to put an Album of Solo-Stuff by Beatle-Members to a imaginary Beatles-Album, but I didn't like the list, so I put together my own imaginary Beatles-Album. The songs I picked are from 1970 to 2005 and I loosely based the sequencing on the "Abbey Road"-Album. There are two George-Selections, one Ringo-Piece (with Paul adding Backing Vocals) and the main piece of the cake is divided between John and Paul. Doesn't that sound like a Beatles-Album? Just kidding, of course...

Other titles, I considered for this compilation:
"Imagine", "Carry On!", "Reunion Dream", "...and that's reality..."

This is a great concept, pulled off with great success!!! I'd LOVE to read the novel!!! (but in English it would have to be).
