Comment:
The natural successor to my Manchester mix of last year "So Much To Answer For " comes this, Merseyside Magic! A celebration of the finest music to emerge from the city of Liverpool UK. The city that brought us The Beatles: for that alone we should all be thankful. Since the 60's Merseybeat era it has been apparent that bands from Liverpool can't half knock out a decent tune. Hopefully this mix contains some of the best. Alas, in order to keep this mix under 80 minutes some bands didn't make it, so a quick nod to FGTH, Gerry & The Pacemakers, Space, The Real People, The Christians and, erm A Flock Of Seagulls.MIX

Feedback:
What? No You'll Never Walk Alone? Thats it Sam you can stick your mix up your a*se! ;) I jest of course. This is bursting at the seams with classics, and to my shame I didn't know Ladytron or Clinic were scousers! Downloading now will listen and sing along later amigo.
Bugger! I was just working on a North of England mix. No need now Sam. You've all the bases covered. Both great looking.
I forgot how many bands I love are from Liverpool. It seems odd to not have the Gerry & the PMs on here, but I'm not sure what I'd pull from this to put them on.
Definitely proves how much talent has emerged from Liverpool. Great overview.
Right on target.
Nice!
always amazing how much great music can come out a single locale. Nice job sammy.
I like this citys music better then the football they play
Cool Sam, thanks for the downloads. Damn, that little corner of the world has put out some fine pop.
mmmm, my mouth waters for this Sammy me man! (And when asked here in the States to name my favorite football team I always say "why the Reds, of course". (I even got a scarf)). It confuses 'em every time.
Ummm, help me out here. Is it Billy J. Kramer & the Dakotas, or Billy J. Krsamer WITH the Dakotas?... As a Liverpudian (sp) I bow to your judgement.
Superb!!! Lots of great tracks all around.
I had no idea all those guys were from Liverpuddle. Great idea for a mix.
Awesome mix. Nice opener.
looks good. can't wait to download and listen.
Really fantastic stuff. Thanks for the education!
GooRate! Musicgnome merseybeat me to the proper words but I won't let it stop me. Thanks for the education. This is a school I have always wanted the treat of taking part in the enlightenment. Looking forward to this, and giving thanks in advance for the expansion the playlist in my noggin' will receive. It was very much needed and my doomo arigatoos go out to you.
Oh dear, this is truly fab. It goes against the Mancunian grain to admit it, but damn! some fine music was made in the "other" place. This is a tasty scouse salad, tossed by a man who knows his onions. It's really gear. I la la la la love it!
Great idea and execution. I'd love to have a copy of this sometime, as downloading mixes is not a possibility for me at the moment.
Ack! Be still, my Merseybeating heart! Stupendously great!
Excellent!
You're a King sammyg, in fact I believe you're the new King. Couldn't be prouder of you... stay in touch! You'll keep this site honest and good.
