Comment:

A brand new mix. The post-retro mix. It's an odd collection using many tunes that I never thought would be able to properly gel a mood. And yet, there it is, and there is a nice quirky mood to it all. It is almost downright sweet sounding particularly towards the end. And that's a good thing. I credit AOTM with the inspiration for this one. I would love it if you checked out my addition of strings to the Nick Lowe cut. Hmm, I would also love it if you checked out the coupling of Albatross with Last Date, it's one of those very pleasant things that happens and makes one wonder why it didn't happen sooner. How I got Little Bird into any kind of mix including even a Beach Boys compilation is still making me think, but dammit, it worked and made the tune easier to swallow. And that is what this is about exactly: making things easier to swallow. This was electronically recorded and is presented as a WMA 96kbps stream of stereo. There is an mp3 192kbps version available on my website (see the second title listing) and apparently it streams as well as that other stuff, too. Yoroshiku onegai shimasu. Oh, one other thing, if you are looking at this page with a browser such as Firefox and you click on the link, well, it may download rather than stream. If you switch to IE as a browser, it will stream immediately.

Well Jon, whatever the hell "it" is, you undoubtedly have it in spades. I've said it before, and by heaven I'll say it again -- Jonpoi rocks! Better still he shares his rocks with us all. Give this man some kind of statuette to place on his mantelpiece. This is your "what, me worry" mix and you are correct in every way. Backward is the new forward.

This is a fun listen Never get tired of that JB track and, of course, I would have to listen to any mix with Alfred E on the cover.

Jon you are still the master! The home stretch from Tom Verlaine onwards had me hypnotized! Wonderful!

As usual, your good taste is abundantly evident. And, as usual, you match it with stellar cover art.

You may have noticed Jon, I don't immediately comment on your mixes, choosing to listen to it in full, then pass comment. Well, you never fail to impress. Genius as always, especially the final 20 mins.

Jonpoi - I'm a new fan. Having now downloaded (at random) five of your always brilliant mixes, I'd like to say thanks for soundtracking my morning commute for the past week. In fact, I'm eagerly anticipating listening to more of your back catalogue. This is my favourite so far.
