Comment:
The original version of this song (track 10) is accompanied by mostly cover versions (the Tenacious D song is most likely a tribute to Stairway to Heaven because it includes many samples of the song in the live version that I used). Also, the Little Richard & the Goosebumps song is a parody that (at least one source says) Robert Plant called it his favorite cover version (perhaps jokingly; another source only says that he laughed when he first heard it). I actually saw them perform this song at the Warfield in San Francisco in the late '80s or early '90s. I had the idea for this project 3-1/2 years ago. I decided to dust it off, remove the Foo Fighter version ('cause it was pretty poor sounding) and added a few new ones. I'm also including a link to the mix (click on the first song title). Great stuff... one complaint howver, Why is the mpg file by Rolf Harris so huge (88MB)? There has to be a smaller way to save that.
