Hot Rod High - The Curriculum.
Comment:
31. The Hondels - Hot Rod High. No, I'm not much of a hot rodder - in fact, I've owned some of the shittiest cars on Earth, from Chevettes to Matadors. I have a real soft spot for cool cars, though - I still have a beat up Karmann Ghia rotting away in a rented garage. At some point in my life,, trivial things like heat in the wintertime and reliable starting became important. Man oh man, who wants to get old and practical.
Well kids, this is for the mighty mix-monster "Surfin' Dead". And it's dedicated to everyone's inner gear-head. Rev it up and go, go, go!!!
(Not so sure that the 101ers tune fits, but I sure do like it.)

Feedback:
Well...now...THIS I'd like to hear. My engine revs for this kinda stuff. Love Hot Rod and Surf Stuff! And, this looks tremendous. You might dig my triple discer, The Hot Rod Gang...give it a looksy.
"Daddy, stop. I said I wanted to hear 'I'm Only Sleeping' not 'Hot Rod Lincoln.'"Rev 'em up Sean!
Picture and mix-both are cool.
I have a soft spot for songs about cars as well. My car, however, is not a hot rod but a Honda Civic. Great stuff, Sean, and a nice picture, too!
Nice one Sean. (Yeah, my car goes 0-60 in...frequently)
This looks fun.
Sweet!
Me & Ruby (my Renault 4 never re
oops was saying - never reached 60mph in her before, think she'd fall apart at such mind boggling speeds. Out here in France there's nothing else on the road save for a few tractors & I've all the time in the world to get where I'm going) Where was I? Oh yes it's music we're talking isn't it Top Ghia of a mix Sean.
This is so cool, Sean. $3.35 a gallon and worth every penny.
At $1.84 a litre for petrol her on the tiny island of Great Britain, we cannot afford to leave home. Therefore, "hot-rodding" is not a problem we can comprehend. This may be listened to with impunity and enjoyed from the comfort of anywhere but on the road. Now that's progress! Still we can enjoy the idea of speed in relative safety. Thanks for that.
Very cool - I'm looking forward to receiving this! All I need now is that quarter mile of tarmac...
This mix has me read-to-go!
Great! I'm also a non hot rodder that loves hot rod music. I keep wanting to make a mix like this, but I keep holding off becasue there's always one more song I must include that I don't own yet. And now I see even more! I've loved "Beep Beep" since I was a little kid.
I'm with Karen... gets the engine purring! Adorable kid, btw.
Great mix Sean! Speaking as a rockabilly / gearhead / car-nut; you're pushing all the right buttons... AND the genius Deke Dickinson!! I would love the chance to hear this...
