this one has been on the hard drive for about 6 months now. kept thinking I was missing something (ok, no Breeder or Throwing Muses) but this isn't meant to be a definitive 4ad comp anyways. Just some of my favorite songs by 4ad bands with a few random things thrown on for good measure. It's a pretty trippy listen.. I kind of was going for a TMC sort of flow with this..Feedback:
with you on this one. I collected 4ad stuff in the '80s, even had a box of their vinyl organized by catalog number. they're still putting out reliably great stuff for the most part. this is a great variety pack of some of their best. nice work!
Good stuff. It's great to see my favorite modern "band," the Mountain Goats, signed to this fine label these days (along with Scott Walker!).
